What to do in La Hueria de Urbiés?

  • Walk enjoying the natural environment. There are several routes with different levels, of course, you have to be aware that it is a mountain town. Our village is located 700 meters above sea level and has a steep orography typical of our community.
  • You are in a privileged environment, overflowing with nature wherever you look.
  • If you like to photograph nature, here you are in the right place, just watch and shoot.
  • Maybe you are one of those who like to take a walk at night contemplating the stars. If the clouds allow it, you will enjoy a wonderful show.
  • Throughout the year, especially at the end of summer and autumn, we can dedicate ourselves to collecting what nature offers us. We can pick apples, pears, blackberries, plums, hazelnuts, walnuts, chestnuts, mushrooms, etc.
  • If you are a bicycle enthusiast, whether mountain or road, here you will find your paradise. Routes that run between spectacular landscapes. See Anillo Ciclista Montaña Central.
  • Mining was an economic engine of this valley and Spain for many years. The whole Valley of Turón is dotted with mining vestiges; Understanding what mining meant a few years ago will help us understand the idiosyncrasy of mining basins. We have several places to make a contact and enjoy the history of this place told through the eyes of mining. In the same village we have the Mosquil area, which has a pit and diverse machinery used in the mine. If we follow the path that goes down the valley towards Figaredo, we will find many remains of mining.
  • And, of course, we can always relax simply by contemplating the landscape.
